Arvada Colorado
is home to a beautiful center for the arts and humanities that features ongoing special events year round. Included in the center’s events are dance, art and music, and special events just for children that will spark their imagination and stimulate their interest in the arts. Each year the center tries to bring in at least one national or international dance company. There are also special gallery exhibitions with opening receptions and talks with the artists, which are free to the public. Not to be missed in the summer months is the weekly Farmer’s Market, held each Thursday, at the Masonic Center in Olde Town. Here, you’ll find farm fresh produce, fresh flowers, breads, pastries and much, much more. The Majestic View Nature Center in Arvada also features many special events, such as their birds and bagels breakfast. Enjoy good company and breakfast with a crisp morning walk along Lake Oberon while you view resident and migratory birds. Arvada’s nature center also holds wildlife workshops for children and adults. A similar program is held at the Lookout Mountain Nature Center near Arvada in Jefferson County. It hosts ongoing programs for different age groups such as:

Olde Town Arvada holds several special events each year, as well. One of the newest is their Annual Victoria Ball. Come dressed in costume and enjoy an evening of music, dancing, cocktails, dinner, a Grand March – everything as it would have been at an authentic, old-fashioned Victorian Ball. The nearby small communities of Edgewater, Wheat Ridge, Golden, Lakewood, Littleton, Morrison and Evergreen all hold their own festivals and events year round, such as old-fashion, festive 4th of July celebrations and parades, the Carnation Festival in Wheat Ridge and the Town Christmas Party in Morrison.
