Arvada Colorado is located in Jefferson County and is close to both Denver and Boulder. It’s nestled between the foothills of the Rocky Mountains on the west and Metro Denver on the east. The town of Arvada has a population of 102,000 and has experienced steady residential and commercial growth since it first began as a mining town in the 1850s. The city of Arvada is located within Jefferson County, which covers 774 square miles of rolling grasslands, craggy rock formations, rugged mountains and forestland. The county extends west into the mountains to meet Gilpin, Clear Creek and Park Counties. There are both Fortune 500 companies headquartered in the area, as well as many family-owned businesses. You’ll find homes situated high on mountain tops, as well as in the valleys, suburbs and cities. With its’ excellent schools, low crime rate, beautiful climate and location near many National Parks and Forests, Arvada is a good choice for families.
